''Embrace the Chaos'' is the second studio album by the American rock band Ozomatli. It was released on September 11, 2001 via Interscope Records. Production was handled by Bob Power, Steve Berlin, Mario Caldato Jr., Mario C. and Ozomatli. The album peaked at number 138 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, number two on the Heatseekers Albums, and topped both the Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts in the United States. It won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards. Ozomatli
Ozomatli is an American rock band, formed in 1995 in Los Angeles. They are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and incorporating a wide array of musical styles – including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, hip hop, and others. The group formed in 1995 and has since released seven studio albums. The group is also known for advocating for farm-workers' rights and immigration reform. The band has performed in various countries all over the world, including China, Tunisia, Jordan, Cuba, and Burma. Although the band has had many member changes over the years and has sometimes had as many as ten members, the current six members have been in the band since its debut album. Ampeg is a manufacturer best known for its bass amplifiers. Originally established in 1946 in Linden, New Jersey by Everett Hull and Stanley Michaels as "Michael-Hull Electronic Labs," today Ampeg is part of the Yamaha Guitar Group. Wil-Dog Abers
Willy "Wil-Dog" Abers is a bassist primarily for the LA-based Ozomatli band, but has also played in Los Super Seven, a Latin rock supergroup. Early life Wil-Dog, also sometimes called "Breakdance Willy" as he is an accomplished breakdancer. He is of Jewish descent. His father was in the Revolutionary Communist Party, and he was raised mostly by his grandparents. From an early age, he saw, first-hand, police violence, racism, and anti-Semitism. He dropped out of high-school in the 11th grade and spent all his time stealing, smoking marijuana, and living out of his car. Louie Pérez
Louis Frausto Pérez, Jr. (born January 29, 1953) is an American songwriter, percussionist and guitarist for Los Lobos and Latin Playboys. Pérez started with Los Lobos playing primarily jarana (a small Mexican guitar) and singing. He is one of the founding members of Los Lobos, established in 1973. As Los Lobos ventured into Norteño music and rock, Pérez became the drummer, first with just a snare drum. In 1990, Victor Bisetti was hired to be a combination drum tech, drum coach and percussionist. As time went on, Bisetti took a more active role as drummer, allowing Pérez to move back to the front of the stage and start playing guitar. Bisetti was replaced in 2003 by Ruben (Cougar) Estrada.
