The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in London is the diplomatic mission of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the United Kingdom. The embassy was formerly located on Grays Inn Road in Kings Cross. In 2011, a protest was held outside the embassy by the Congolese International Rights group, alleging irregularities in the 2011 Congolese election. Fitzrovia () is a district of central London, England, near the West End. The eastern part of area is in the London Borough of Camden, and the western in the City of Westminster. General elections were held in Democratic Republic of the Congo on 28 November 2011; a facultative run-off on 26 February 2012 was shelved with a change in election laws. The government passed laws to abolish the second round of the presidential election and tried to change the legislative electoral system from proportional to majority representation, which was strongly criticized by the opposition.
