Ema Adivitaloga (born 27 July 1994) is a Fijian rugby union player. Rugby career Super W Adivitaloga was selected for the Fijiana Drua squad in their debut 2022 Super W season. She started in their debut match against the Rebels. She also featured against the Reds in the second round of the competition. She played against the Waratahs in round five and in the Grand Final. International Adivitaloga was named in the Fijiana squad for two test matches against Australia and Japan in May 2022. She was in the starting lineup in both tests against Japan and Australia. In September she played in a warm up match against Canada. Fijiana Drua are a Fijian rugby union team based in Australia. Rugby Australia announced in February 2022 that they had joined the Super W competition. History The Fijiana Drua would is the first Fijian team to join the Super W competition with support from the Australian Government’s PacificAus Sports program. The Fiji Rugby Union announced that Rooster Chicken were the official sponsors of the Fijiana Drua for the current Super W season. 2022 Super W Season
The 2022 Super W season was the fifth edition of the Super W competition. The Fijiana Drua joined the five Super W teams for the 2022 season, and won the championship. The New South Wales Waratahs#Women's team, New South Wales Waratahs were the four-time, back-to-back defending champions. Competition format With six teams, each team played five regular season matches. The top three teams at the end of the regular season progressed to the finals. The second and third placed teams competed in a semi-final elimination round on April 14. The winner progressed to the Grand Final on April 24 and played the first placed team for the championship. The Melbourne Rebels is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Melbourne. They made their debut in SANZAR's Super Rugby tournament in 2011. The Queensland Reds is the rugby union team for the Australian state of Queensland that competes in the Southern Hemisphere's Super Rugby competition. The New South Wales Waratahs ( or ;), referred to as the Waratahs, are an Australian professional rugby union team representing the majority of New South Wales in the Super Rugby competition. Fiji Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments. They have won three Pacific Games gold medals, two Oceania Championships, a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics. They also compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cup Sevens. History Fiji won the gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Nouméa, New Caledonia. The Japan women's national rugby union team (, nicknamed Sakura Fifteen) are a national sporting side of Japan, representing them at rugby union. The side first played in 1991. The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first women's Rugby World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand, and by a country in the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand were also the defending champions.
