Elías Jaua
Elías José Jaua Milano (born 16 December 1969) is a Venezuelan politician and former university professor who serves as the Minister of Education of Venezuela. He served as the vice president of Venezuela from January 2010 to October 2012 and had been Minister of Foreign Affairs from January 2013 until September 2014. Career Jaua obtained a Sociology degree from the Central University of Venezuela. In 2000 he was part of the ''Comisión Legislativa Nacional'' and Minister of the ''Secretaría de la Presidencia'' from 2000 to 2001. He was nominated as Venezuelan Ambassador to Argentina in 2002. Jaua served as Minister of Agriculture in President Hugo Chávez's government before being appointed as vice-president in January 2010, while remaining Minister of Agriculture. Caucagua
Caucagua is a Venezuelan city in the state of Miranda, and is capital of the Acevedo Municipality. The town of later Caucagua was founded as ''Valle de Araguata'' about 1690. It was refounded with the name of Caucagua in 1752. Bishop Mariano Martí gave it the name ''Nuestra Señora del Valle de la Santa Cruz de Caucagua'' in 1784. The population in 1783 was 2,422. 2017 Venezuelan Constituent Assembly Election
Constituent Assembly elections were held in Venezuela on 30 July 2017 to elect the members of the 2017 Constituent National Assembly ( es, Asamblea Nacional Constituyente; ANC). Unlike the 1999 Constituent National Assembly, which was assembled following a referendum, the 2017 election was convened by the presidential decree of President Nicolás Maduro. Approximately two-thirds (364) of Assembly members were elected by municipal citizens while members of seven social sectors including trade unions, communal councils, indigenous groups, farmers, students, and pensioners elected the remaining one-third (181) of members. The new constitution proposed by the Constituent Assembly will be subject to approval by referendum.
