2017 Lithuanian Supercup
The 2017 Lithuanian Supercup (Lithuanian language, Lithuanian: LFF Supertaurė) was the 17th edition of the Lithuanian Supercup since its establishment in 1995, the annual Lithuania, Lithuanian association football, football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top A Lyga, league and Lithuanian Football Cup, cup competitions (or league runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). It took place on 26 February 2017 at the Sportima Arena in Vilnius, and was contested between FK Žalgiris, Žalgiris, the 2016 A Lyga and 2016 Lithuanian Football Cup winners, and FK Trakai, Trakai, the 2016 A Lyga runners-up. FK Žalgiris, Žalgiris were the defending champions having won the cup for four previous years. Žalgiris won the tie 1–0 with substitute Mahamane Traoré scoring the only goal of the match in 76th minute after a critical mistake by Trakai goalkeeper Ignas Plūkas. Match References

FK Ekranas
Panevėžio Ekranas is a Lithuanian football club, from the city of Panevėžys. It won 7 top-tier champion and 5 national cup titles throughout its existence. The club was founded in 1964 and for 44 years competed in the top tier of Lithuanian football. However, at the end of 2014 season the club ran into financial difficulties, failed to meet admission criteria to A Lyga for the 2015 season, and was subsequently declared bankrupt. A new club FK Panevėžys was formed to represent the city of Panevėžys, which managed to pass licensing criteria for the 2015 I Lyga season. FK Ekranas was declared bankrupt in 2016. In 2020 FK Ekranas was restored. It plays in the 2nd tier of Lithuania. Lithuanian Supercup
The Lithuanian Supercup () or LFF Supercup is an annual football match contested between the champions of the previous A Lyga season and the holders of the Lithuanian Football Cup. It is organised by and named after Lithuanian Football Federation and played at the beginning of the season. For sponsorship reasons, it is currently also known as the LFF Optibet Supercup. Until 2016, if the Lithuanian championship and the Cup was won by the same team, the match was not held and the Supercup was awarded automatically to the winning team. Since 2016 the format was changed and double winners then play the league runners-up. The trophy has been contested since 1995 with 4 interruptions. The 2016 A Lyga, also known as ''SMSCredit.lt A Lyga'' for sponsoring purposes was the 27th season of the A Lyga, the top-tier association football league of Lithuania. The season began on 2 March and ended on 26 November 2016. Žalgiris Vilnius were the defending champions. Teams FK Šiauliai failed to obtain a license to play in the A Lyga and were relegated alongside FK Kruoja, which withdrew and FK Klaipedos Granitas, which was disqualified.
