Elisabeth Pihela (born 15 March 2004) is an Estonian track and field athlete who competes in the high jump. Career At the 2021 European Athletics U20 Championships, she won bronze with a new personal best clearance of 1.86m. At the same event in 2023, she won silver, jumping 1.88m to finish behind Angelina Topic. In June 2023, she set a new personal best clearing 1.92m in Pärnu. That month she also cleared 1.91m at the Diamond League event in Lausanne. Pihela competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023. The following week, she competed at the 2023 Diamond League event in Xiamen Xiamen ( , ; ), also known as Amoy (, from Hokkien pronunciation ), is a sub-provincial city in southeastern Fujian, People's Republic of China, beside the Taiwan Strait. The women's high jump at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest on 25 and 27 August 2023. Summary In the qualifying round, 19 women cleared 1.89m. That was too many to take to the final, so they went up to 1.92m. The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF) one-day meeting competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. The 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships are the twenty-seventh edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty. The 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships are organized by European Athletics Association and held from 7–10 August 2023 in Jerusalem, Israel.
