Barrhaven West Ward (Ward 3) is a city ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The ward consists of the western half of the Barrhaven subdivision. It consists of the neighbourhoods of Cedarhill Estates, Orchard Estates, Strandherd Meadows, Old Barrhaven, Barrhaven Mews, Jockvale, Halfmoon Bay and Stonebridge. The 3rd Ward or Third Ward is one of the 17 Wards of New Orleans, a division of the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Boundaries The Ward touches the Mississippi River as its front. The down-river boundary is Canal Street, below which is the city's 4th Ward. The upper boundary is Julia Street, originally the New Basin Canal. The former canal route in this area is now I-10. For most of this route from the river back is the 2nd Ward. From Carrollton Avenue up it borders the 17th Ward. The back boundary is City Park Avenue (formerly known as Bayou Metairie Road), across which is another portion of the 4th Ward. 3rd Ward was an art centric business in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was variously described in the media as an artist collective or community, a contemporary art facility, an all-encompassing work studio and art space, a finishing school for the Etsy set, and a creative mainstay. It went out of business October 9, 2013. Founding In 2005, Jason Goodman and Jeremy Lovitt conceived of 3rd Ward as a continuation of the facilities and atmosphere they had had as students at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
