Elery is an unincorporated community in Henry County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. History A post office was established at Elery in 1881, and remained in operation until 1907. Elery Hanley
Cuthwyn Ellery Hanley MBE (born 27 March 1961) is an English former rugby league player and coach. Over a nineteen-year professional career (1978–1997), he played for Bradford Northern, Wigan, Balmain, Western Suburbs and Leeds. He won 36 caps for Great Britain, captaining the team from 1988 to 1992, and 2 for England. Nicknamed 'Mr Magic' and 'The Black Pearl', he played most often as a or after starting out as a or . Hanley won the Man of Steel Award a record three times, the Lance Todd Trophy once, and the Golden Boot in 1988. He was awarded the MBE in January 1990 for services to the game. In 2005 he was inducted into the Rugby Football League Hall of Fame. After his playing career, he had spells as head coach of Great Britain, St Helens and Doncaster. Elery Hamilton-Smith (28 December 1929 – 27 June 2015) was an Australian interdisciplinary scholar and academic, and later an adjunct professor of Environmental Studies at Charles Sturt University. Background Elery Hamilton-Smith was born on a property named ''Shady Grove'', near Hahndorf and grew up in rural South Australia. He did not have conventional academic training, and graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Diploma in Social Sciences in 1956. Elery "Ed" Guy Greathouse (October 26, 1899 – 1954) was an American boxer who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. He was born in Roane County, West Virginia. Lawrence Elery Wilson
Lawrence Elery Wilson (July 7, 1884 – June 23, 1946) was an American businessman and politician from South Arkansas. He served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1927 to 1931. He was elected Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas, serving under Governor Harvey Parnell until he was defeated by Lee Cazort in the Democratic primary. Early life Wilson was born in Village, Arkansas to L.T. Wilson and Mattie ( Booth) Wilson on July 7, 1884. He had five brothers and one sister. He attended local schools, the Southwest Academy at Magnolia, and briefly taught school after graduation. He moved to Finn, Arkansas and worked as an auditor at the Grayson Lumber Company until 1918.
