Cindy Morgan (singer)
Cindy Lavonne Morgan (born June 4, 1968) is a contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. Morgan's 1992 debut album, ''Real Life'', earned her six Dove Award nominations. Her follow-up, '' A Reason to Live'', garnered her another Dove Award nomination. Overall she has earned 13 Dove Awards. Morgan, using her married name, is also one half of the duo St. Lola in the Fields with Jeremy Bose. They released ''High Atop the Houses and the Towns'' on October 5, 2010 via Nettwerk. In late 2012, Morgan joined forces with singer/songwriter Andrew Greer for Food for the Hungry's "Hymns for Hunger" Tour, helping raise awareness and resources for local and international hunger relief organizations at tour stops across the country. Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Word Records is a Christian faith-based entertainment company based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is owned by Curb Records, and is a part of Word Entertainment. It is distributed by Warner Records (the former Warner Bros. Records). History In 1951, Word Records was founded in Waco, Texas by Jarrell McCracken, Baylor business major Henry SoRelle and radio/television executive Ted Snider. The label's name is based on a 16-minute spoken word recording written and narrated by McCracken, the first recording released by the label, entitled "The Game of Life". Brent Bourgeois
Brent Thomas Bourgeois (born June 16, 1958) is an American rock musician, songwriter, and producer. He was co-leader of the band Bourgeois Tagg with Larry Tagg, and has released several solo albums. His later work has been classified in the genres pop and contemporary Christian music. Early life Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bourgeois grew up in New Jersey and Dallas, Texas. He moved with Tagg to California's Bay Area after high school, and in the late 1970s they played in a Sacramento band named Uncle Rainbow, which included members from Texas and other parts of the South of the United States. Drew and Shannon is an American record producer and songwriting duo, from Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Collaboration Drew Ramsey and Shannon Sanders met while both were on the Contemporary Christian music circuit. Finding common interest in R&B they began to write together. Shannon plays trumpet and keyboard, while Drew plays bass and guitar. They have been working together for over 15 years and both live in Nashville, Tennessee, US. Patrick Lee "Pat" MacDonald (born August 6, 1952) is an American musician and songwriter. He is the singer, guitarist, and main songwriter for Timbuk 3, nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1987. He formed the duo with his wife, Barbara K.
