Elections In Montenegro
Montenegro holds national election for the Parliament and the office of President. Montenegro has a multi-party system with numerous parties. The Parliament has 81 members elected by a system of proportional representation using D'Hondt method for a four-year term. To enter the national parliament, parties have to surpass the electoral threshold of 3%, except for minority lists, for which that threshold does not apply. President is elected at large, with a second round runoff between the two first placed candidates, if no candidate receives an absolute majority in the first round. Albanian Coalition
The Albanian Coalition ( sq, Koalicioni Shqiptar; ') is the name of several Albanian minority pre-election coalitions in Montenegro. Originally established by Democratic Party president and former Mayor of Ulcinj, Fatmir Gjeka, it currently consists of the Democratic Party, the Democratic League in Montenegro and the Democratic Union of Albanians. The coalition currently has one representative in Parliament of Montenegro. Serb List (2012)
The Serb List ( sr, / ) was a minor Serbian nationalist and political party in Montenegro, established on 5 January 2012. Ideology The party supports the far-right Serbian Radical Party of Vojislav Šešelj in Serbia, and the view that Montenegro should return to a union with Serbia as two brotherly states. Controversially, the party has proposed that Radovan Karadžić, Ratko Mladić and Šešelj become honoured citizens of towns Šavnik, Pljevlja and Kolašin, as their families hail from the region and they have worked for a common Serb cause. It has earlier asked for the rehabilitation of Blažo Đukanović and another 24 Montenegrin Chetniks executed in 1943. The True Montenegro (; abbr. Marko Milačić (; born 22 May 1985) is a Montenegrin politician. He is the founder and current president of minor right-wing populist political party True Montenegro. He ran for president of Montenegro in the 2018 election, and received 2.8% of the popular vote. Biography Milačić completed elementary and secondary school in Podgorica, graduated and obtained a master's degree in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro. Mladen Bojanić ( cyrl, Младен Бојанић; born 14 October 1962) is a Montenegrin economist, politician and former MP. He was one of the founders and former secretary general of socially liberal Positive Montenegro (PCG) party. He ran for President of Montenegro at the 2018 elections. Milo Đukanović ( cnr, Мило Ђукановић, ; born 15 February 1962) is a Montenegrin politician serving as the President of Montenegro since 2018, previously serving in the role from 1998 to 2003.
