Election Denial Movement In The United States
The election denial movement in the United States is a widespread false belief among certain conservatives that any United States election not resulting in a desired Republican victory has been rigged and stolen through voter fraud by Democrats. Adherents of the movement are referred to as election deniers. Voter fraud conspiracy theories have spread online and through conservative conferences, community events, and door-to-door canvassing. Since the 2020 United States presidential election, many Republican politicians have sought elective office or taken legislative steps to address what they assert is weak election integrity leading to widespread fraudulent elections, though no evidence of systemic voter fraud has come to light and voter fraud is extremely rare. The movement came to prominence after Donald Trump was defeated in the 2020 United States presidential election. Trump had a history of questioning elections before he ran for office, notably the 2012 reelection of ...

Stop The Steal (50607710992)
After Joe Biden won the 2020 United States presidential election, then-incumbent Donald Trump pursued an unprecedented effort to overturn the election, with support and assistance from his campaign, proxies, political allies, and many of his supporters. These efforts culminated in the January 6, 2021 United States Capitol attack by Trump supporters, which was widely described as an attempted coup d'état. One week later, Trump was impeached for incitement of insurrection but was acquitted by the Senate. In June 2022, the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack said it has enough evidence to recommend that the U.S. Department of Justice indict Trump. Trump and his allies used the " big lie" propaganda technique to promote numerous false claims and conspiracy theories asserting that the election was stolen by means of rigged voting machines, electoral fraud and an international communist conspiracy. Trump pressed Justice Department leaders to challenge the election r ...

Donald Trump 2024 Presidential Campaign
On November 15, 2022, the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced his campaign for a second non-consecutive presidential term in a speech at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump reportedly had been considering a 2024 presidential run after his loss in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to Democratic Party challenger Joe Biden. Trump denied the results of the election, promoting false and discredited claims of voter fraud, and attempted to overturn the results. In the week of November 9, 2020, Trump indicated to Republican Party senator Kevin Cramer: "If this doesn't work out, I'll just run again in four years." In a speech at the February 2021 meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump "teased a White House run in four years", and won 55% of the vote in the CPAC straw poll, more than double the support of the next contender, Florida governor Ron DeSantis. The following month, ''Bloomberg News'' reported that Trump was "strongly ...

Tea Party Movement
The Tea Party movement was an American fiscally conservative political movement within the Republican Party that began in 2009. Members of the movement called for lower taxes and for a reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit through decreased government spending. It urges the return of government as intended by some of the Founding Fathers. It also seeks to teach its view of the Constitution and other founding documents. Scholars have described its interpretation variously as originalist, popular, or a unique combination of the two. Reliance on the Constitution is selective and inconsistent. Adherents cite it, yet do so more as a cultural reference rather than out of commitment to the text, which they seek to alter. Two constitutional amendments have been targeted by some in the movement for full or partial repeal: the 16th that allows an income tax, and the 17th that requires popular election of senators. There has also been support for a proposed Repea ...
