Elba De Pádua Lima
Elba de Pádua Lima (20 February 1915 – 7 July 1984), best known by the nickname ''Tim'', was a Brazilian footballer and coach. Tim was born in Rifaina, São Paulo. During his career, which spanned from 1931 to 1951, he played for Brazilian clubs Botafogo-SP, Portuguesa Santista, Fluminense, and Olaria; he won five Rio de Janeiro State Tournaments (1936, 1937, 1938, 1940, 1941). He retired in Colombia with Atlético Junior of Barranquilla. He was also a member of the Brazil national team, at the 1938 FIFA World Cup, playing one match against Czechoslovakia, and at the South American Championship 1942, where he scored one goal. 44 years after participating in the World Cup as a player, Tim was the manager of the Peru national football team at the 1982 World Cup, in what is the longest interval ever between an individual's World Cup participations, and the longest World Cup career overall. A football team is a group of players selected to play together in the various team sports known as football. The 1938 FIFA World Cup was the third edition of the World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship for senior men's national teams and was held in France from 4 June until 19 June 1938. Italy defended its title in the final, beating Hungary 4–2. Italy's 1934 and 1938 teams hold the distinction of being the only men's national team to win the World Cup multiple times under the same coach, Vittorio Pozzo. It would be the last World Cup until 1950 due to the disruption from World War II. Host selection France was chosen as host nation by FIFA in Berlin on 13 August 1936.
