Salvador Ibáñez (1854–1920) was a Spanish luthier. He made guitars, ukuleles, mandolins and other stringed instruments. These instruments were prized for their excellent quality and impeccable workmanship. Ibáñez's career At eleven years of age Ibáñez became an apprentice in guitar construction at Calle Muela, Valencia. In 1870 he was registered as a guitar maker at Calle Cubells. Also working in the shop were ten-year-old José Ibáñez and Magdalena Albiñana y Magraner from L'Olleria, Valencia. In 1888 he first appeared in the trade guides at Calle Jordana and shortly after that at Calle Ruzafa; from 1896 to 1927 his shop was located at Calle Bajada de San Francisco. Carmen Conde Abellán (15 August 1907 – 8 January 1996) was a Spanish poet, narrative writer and teacher. In 1931 she founded the first Popular University of Cartagena, along with her husband Antonio Oliver Belmás. She was also the first woman to become an academic numerary of the Real Academia Española, where she delivered her induction speech in 1979. Biography At the age of 7 she moved with her family to Melilla, where she lived until 1920. The memoir from that period were collected in ''Empezando la vida''. In 1923 she passed the competitive exam for Auxiliary at the Drafting Room of the Sociedad Española de Construcción Naval, where she started to work. She began her contributions to local newspapers one year later. At the age of 19 she started her studies in Education at a teacher training college, the Escuela Normal de Maestras de Murcia. Enrique García Álvarez (actor)
Enrique García Álvarez (1896–1971) was a Spanish-Mexican actor. Early life and career García Álvarez was born in Langreo, Asturias in 1896. He began his career in 1922. In 1938, near the end of the Spanish Civil War, he fled to Paris, France, where he was helped by Maurice Chevalier, with which help he went into exile Mexico, where he would establish and live until shortly before his death. He debuted in the cinema in Mexico in 1940, where he would work with Cantinflas and Luis Buñuel in the latter's Mexican phase. He founded the magazine ''La Voz del Actor'' and received the Diosas de Plata award (from the Cinematographic Journalists of Mexico, PECIME) for his role in Buñuel's ''The Exterminating Angel'' (1962).Arjona, p. 115.
