El Meneo De La Mañana
''El meneo de la mañana'', commonly known as ''El Meneo'', (), is a morning radio show that began on Puerto Rico's west coast at a station then known as Cosmos 94. Many of the island's top radio performers began their careers there. Among the most popular radio talents to have participated in this morning show were Antonio Sánchez (El Gangster), José Vallenilla (Funky Joe), Luis Antonio Shanom (Shanom), the DJs known as Marcos Del Valle (Dr Love), Red Shadow and Frankie Jay. Also appearing were Raulito Carbonell, Víctor Pagán and Gilbert Merle, and Erick Williams in the early stages. ''El Meneo'' later was taken to WCMN-FM (Delta 107.3 FM, known as oca De To' 102.3 FM by Shanom where he hooked up with Santos Rodriguez (Dusty) and later with his former radio partner Gilbert Merle. Antonio Sánchez (Puerto Rican Host)
Antonio Sánchez (born January 1, 1961) is a Puerto Rican radio and television personality, show host and producer. Known for his humor, he is also known for his nickname, El Gangster. As of 2008, his television show, '' No te Duermas'', had been on the air for 19 years. Biography Early life Antonio Sánchez was born in New York City to Antonio Sánchez Sr. and Zoraida Casiano. He was the oldest of four children. When he was 9 years old, his family returned to Puerto Rico, and settled in the town of Hormigueros, Puerto Rico. Radio Host Sánchez started studying at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in San Germán, and he began working as a disc jockey at college parties with his now partner Angél Santiago. Raulito Carbonell
Raul Carbonell Huo (better known as Raulito Carbonell and also known as Raulito Carbonell, Jr., born approx. 1950) is a Puerto Rican actor, comedian, salsa singer, published author and lawyer. He has played several famous characters on Puerto Rican television, most notably "Israel", "El Veterano" and "Papo Swing", and released one salsa album in 1995. Biography Carbonell is the son of Raul Carbonell, Sr., who himself was a poet and voice actor. Raul Sr. used to work on Puerto Rican radionovelas and was well known by the Puerto Rican public. Carbonell, Jr. began his entertainment career at the young age of eight, at first acting on telenovelas and drama films. Around 1975, Carbonell, Jr. began participating on Puerto Rican television comedies. WCMN-FM
WCMN-FM (107.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a contemporary hit radio format. Licensed to Arecibo, Puerto Rico, it serves the Puerto Rico area. The station is currently owned by Uno Radio Group. The station is relayed through booster stations, WCMN-FM3 in Ponce and WCMN-FM6 in Mayagüez, which also broadcasts on 107.3 MHz. History WCMN-FM was the first FM radio station to be licensed on the north of Puerto Rico. During most of its history it was called "Delta 107". In February 2004, WCMN-FM was acquired by "Uno Radio Group". In May 2004, WCMN-FM changed its brand name from "107.3 Delta" to just "107.3" and added the "Toca De Tó" slogan which eventually became the new brand name.
