El Triunfo is a railroad station in , Tabasco. El Triunfo station connects Tabasco with Campeche. Tren Maya Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced during his 2018 presidential candidate the ''Tren Maya'' project. On 13 August 2018, he announced the complete outline. The route of the new Tren Maya put Boca del Cerro on the route that would connect with Palenque, Chiapas and Escárcega, Campeche. It will be located next to an old train station, formerly used by the Ferrocarril Transístmico. Passenger demand at this station will have a social nature, considering a 3-track and 2-platform scheme at the station. El Triunfo was a train station located in , Tabasco. El Triunfo connected Tabasco with Campeche. It is currently abandoned. The train station served trains from Mérida to Coatzacoalcos and from Yucatán to Veracruz, respectively. History The station was built on the Coatzacoalcos–Merida Line. The Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México began planning the station's construction in July 1934. Construction work began at the end of 1935 using the line located from Sarabia, on the Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec. When the general study of the route was completed, the Sarabia junction was abandoned, adopting the Port of Coatzacoalcos as the western terminal of the Southeastern Railway. El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve is a biosphere reserve in southern Mexico. It is in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas in southern Chiapas. Geography El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve has an area of 1191.77 km2 in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, a mountain range that extends roughly east–west parallel to the Pacific coast of Mexico and Guatemala.
