El Toro (Sierra De Luquillo)
El Toro (Spanish language, Spanish for ''bull, the bull'') is 3,526 feet (1,075 m) high and is the highest peak in the Sierra de Luquillo mountains in eastern Puerto Rico. The peak is located in the boundaries of barrios El Río, Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, El Río, Las Piedras and Guzmán Arriba, Guzmán Arriba, Río Grande on a massif that is the source of various important List of rivers of Puerto Rico, rivers in the region such as Cubuy River (Naguabo, Puerto Rico), Cubuy and Gurabo River, Gurabo. Canóvanas, Puerto Rico
Canóvanas (, ) is a town and municipality in Puerto Rico, located in the northeastern region, north of Juncos and Las Piedras; south of Loíza; east of Carolina; and west of Río Grande. Canóvanas is spread over 6 barrios and Canóvanas Pueblo (the downtown area and administrative center). It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. Cubuy is a barrio in the municipality of Canóvanas, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 1,841. El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque National Forest ( es, Bosque Nacional El Yunque), formerly known as the Caribbean National Forest (or ''Bosque Nacional del Caribe''), is a forest located in northeastern Puerto Rico. It is the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System and the United States Forest Service. El Yunque National Forest is located on the slopes of the Sierra de Luquillo mountains, encompassing more than 28,000 acres (43.753 mi2 or 113.32 km2) of land, making it the largest block of public land in Puerto Rico. The National Wilderness Preservation System (NWPS) of the United States protects federally managed wilderness areas designated for preservation in their natural condition. Gurabo River
The Gurabo River ( es, Río Gurabo) is a river and tributary of the Loíza River in Puerto Rico. In 2018, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced work would be done on the river, which runs through several municipalities including Gurabo, Juncos, and Las Piedras. In 2018, homes in Juncos were on the verge of collapse as a result of erosion and landslides caused by a change in the rivers trajectory.
