El Puente del Arzobispo is a municipality of Spain located in the province of Toledo, Castilla–La Mancha. The municipality spans across a total area of 0.98 km2 and, as of 1 January 2020, it has a registered population of 1,225. Together with neighbouring Talavera de la Reina, El Puente del Arzobispo was a producing centre of Maiolica pottery in Early-Modern Spain. History Initiated towards 1380 or 1383 under the oversight of Archbishop of Toledo Pedro Tenorio, the bridge over the Tagus was already built by 1388. Housing developed in the bridge's vicinity. The archbishop granted rights for the collection of the tithe and the bridge toll to the newly-born town, that otherwise also prospered thanks to the construction of gristmills. El Puente, or the ''Parque Arqueológico El Puente'' ("El Puente Archaeological Park"), is a Maya archaeological site in the department of Copán in Honduras. Once an independent Maya city, the city of El Puente became a tributary to the nearby city of Copán between the 6th and 9th centuries AD. El Puente is a non-profit arts and social justice organization located in the communities of Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. El Puente was founded in 1982 by the late Luis Garden Acosta and co-founded with Eugenio Maldonado, and Dr. Frances Lacerna. Garden Acosta's mission was to stop the epidemic of violence stemming from youth gang/drug activity and street violence. El Puente's initiatives focus on fighting for a wide variety of social justice issues, including racial, environmental, immigration, educational, economic, housing justice, and more. ''El Puente'' (''The Bridge'') is a Spanish reality television series in which a group of contestants is challenged to work together as a team in order to build a bridge. Created and produced by Zeppelin TV (part of Endemol Shine Iberia), the first season aired on #0 from 29 May 2017 to 17 July 2017. It was filmed in the Argentinian Patagonia. The series was renewed for a second season, which was filmed in Vietnam, and all of its episodes were made available on VOD on 23 September 2018. The series was hosted by Paula Vázquez.
