Simón Bolívar
Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar y Palacios (24 July 1783 – 17 December 1830) was a Venezuelan military and political leader who led what are currently the countries of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and Bolivia to independence from the Spanish Empire. He is known colloquially as '' El Libertador'', or the ''Liberator of America''. Simón Bolívar was born in Caracas in the Captaincy General of Venezuela into a wealthy criollo family. Before he turned ten, he lost both parents and lived in several households. Bolívar was educated abroad and lived in Spain, as was common for men of upper-class families in his day. While living in Madrid from 1800 to 1802, he was introduced to Enlightenment philosophy and met his future wife María Teresa Rodríguez del Toro y Alaysa. Urquiza Line
The Urquiza Line is a suburban electric commuter rail line in Buenos Aires, Argentina, operated by the Buenos Aires Underground operator Metrovías. It runs from the Federico Lacroze terminus in the neighborhood of Chacarita, to General Lemos terminus in Campo de Mayo district of Greater Buenos Aires, completing a total journey time of 46 minutes. The line uses third rail current collection and, at present, is used by an average of 75,400 passengers daily. The line operates 20 hours a day, 7 days a week at 8 to 30 minute intervals. This suburban line runs on track once operated by General Urquiza Railway before railway privatisation. In earlier times the line was planned to run into the centre of Buenos Aires, through a long tunnel. Nevado De Cachi
Nevado de Cachi is the name given to a large complex of mountains that lies in Salta Province, Argentina. This complex counts several summits, the highest being 6,380m and it is called Cumbre Libertador. This summit was climbed for the first time in 1950. The mountains overlook Cachi, a traditional village of Northern Argentina. The main summit is rarely climbed (less than 5 expeditions per year) and the secondary summits even less. Some of them have been climbed only once. The mountain can be climbed, in favourable weather conditions, in five days by a party fully acclimatised to an altitude of 4,000m. The quality of the rock is almost everywhere poor, there is permanent snow but almost no glacier. Climbing interest is little but the area is of outstanding beauty. Almost all routes are easy but rockfalls are common.
