Ekta Nagar railway station (station code: EKNR) earlier known as Kevadiya railway station (station code: KDCY) is located in Kevadiya, Narmada district, Gujarat, India. It consists of 3 platforms. Location Facing the Narmada river, it is 7 kilometers away from the small town of Kevadiya. The construction of the station aims to make the ''Statue of Unity'' more accessible to tourists. Ekta Nagar railway station is located at a distance of just 5 kilometres from ''Statue of Unity''. Development The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind had laid the foundation stone on 15 December 2018. It is also India's first railway station with a Green Building Certificate. The construction of the railway station is set to cost 200 million Indian rupees. The railway line will connect Kevadiya to Chandod, Moriya, Tilakwada and Garudeshwar. Dabhoi Junction railway station (station code: DB) is the main junction railway station in the Indian city of Dabhoi in Vadodara district, Gujarat, India. It falls under Western Railway's Vadodara railway division. History Dabhoi Junction railway station is at a distance of about 36 km from Vadodara. The station is about 150 years old and was once the largest narrow-gauge railway station in Asia. Dabhoi is a town and a municipality in the Vadodara district in the state of Gujarat, India. History Dabhoi was historically known as Darbhavati, Darbikagrama, Darbhavatipura, and Dabhohi. It is first mentioned in the sixth century astronomical treatise ''Romaka Siddhanta''. It was an important pilgrim site for Hindus due to the Kalika temple and for Jains as well. It is also mentioned in several Jain works, such as Hemachandra's ''Yogartrevritti'' and Ramchandra's ''Vikramcharitra''.
