Ekaterina Pushkash
Ekaterina Viktorovna Pushkash (russian: Екатерина Викторовна Пушкаш, born 27 May 1992) is a Russian ice dancer. With partner Jonathan Guerreiro, she is the 2011 World Junior silver medalist and 2011 Russian Junior silver medalist. Early career Ekaterina Pushkash originally trained in ballroom dancing and took up ice dancing because of her cousin. She teamed up with her maternal first cousin, Dmitri Kiselev, in 2000. They moved from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow for training in 2002. Pushkash/Kiselev won silver medals at the 2008–2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Gomel, Belarus and at the 2009 Russian Junior Championships. They finished sixth at the 2009 World Junior Championships and parted ways at the end of the season. 2011 Skate Canada International
The 2011 Skate Canada International was the second event of six in the 2011–12 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario on October 27–30. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. 2011–12 ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The 2011–12 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating was a series of senior international figure skating competitions in the 2011–12 season. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing at six invitational competitions in the fall of 2011. Skaters earned points based on their placement at each event and the skaters who finished in the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final, held in Quebec City, Canada. The Grand Prix series set the stage for the 2012 European, Four Continents, and World Championships, as well as each country's national championships. Gennadi Karponossov
Gennadi Mikhailovich Karponosov (; born 21 November 1950) is an ice dancing coach and a former competitive ice dancing, ice dancer for the Soviet Union. With Natalia Linichuk, he is the 1980 Winter Olympics, 1980 Olympic champion and a two-time Figure Skating World Championships, World champion. Competitive career Gennadi Karponosov began skating because Alexei Ulanov was his neighbor. He initially competed with Elena Zharkova under coach Tatiana Tarasova but had greater success with his second partner, Natalia Linichuk. Linichuk and Karponosov were coached by Elena Tchaikovskaia at Dynamo (sports society), Dynamo in Moscow. 2009 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2009 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international competition in the 2008–09 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", they are an annual figure skating competition in which elite figure skaters compete for the title of World Junior Champion in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event was held between February 22 and March 1, 2009, at the Winter Sports Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event had been provisionally scheduled to be held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, however, due to financial reasons, the Czech Figure Skating Association could not host. Therefore, on October 13, 2008, the International Skating Union definitively assigned the World Junior Championships to Sofia.
