Edward Digby, 10th Baron Digby
Edward Henry Trafalgar Digby, 10th Baron Digby (21 October 1846 – 11 May 1920), also 4th Baron Digby in the Peerage of Great Britain, was a British peer and Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament. Digby was the eldest son of Edward Digby, 9th Baron Digby, son of Admiral Henry Digby (Royal Navy officer), Sir Henry Digby. His mother was Lady Theresa Anna Maria Fox-Strangways, daughter of Henry Fox-Strangways, 3rd Earl of Ilchester, while Jane Digby was his aunt. He was elected to the British House of Commons, House of Commons for Dorset (UK Parliament constituency), Dorset in 1876, a seat he held until 1885. Baron Digby
Baron Digby is a title that has been created twice, once in the Peerage of Ireland and once in the Peerage of Great Britain, for members of the same family. Robert Digby, Governor of King's County, was created Baron Digby, of Geashill in the King's County, in the Peerage of Ireland in 1620. He was the nephew of John Digby, 1st Earl of Bristol. Lord Digby's grandson, the third Baron, and the latter's younger brothers, the fourth and fifth Barons, all represented Warwick in Parliament. The 5th Baron's grandson, the 6th Baron, sat as a Member of Parliament for Malmesbury and for Wells. His younger brother, the 7th Baron, represented Ludgershall and Wells in the House of Commons. John Floyer (Dorset MP)
John Floyer (26 April 1811 – 4 July 1887) was an English cricketer with Amateur status in first-class cricket, amateur status who was active from 1832 to 1833. He was later a Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party politician who sat in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons in two periods between 1846 and 1885. Life He was born in Stinsford, Dorset, the son of Rev. William Floyer and his wife Elizabeth Barton, daughter of Stephen Barton. He was a member of the old Floyer family of Floyer Hayes in Devon descended from ''Floherus'' (Flohère), the Exon Domesday Book tenant of that estate, a French knight who in 1086 held two estates in Devon.
