Eddie Allen (fullback)
Edward Bostwic Allen Jr. (May 5, 1918 – March 1, 2012) was an American football fullback who played one season in the National Football League (NFL) with the Chicago Bears and one season in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Allen played college football at the University of Pennsylvania, and was head football coach at Drexel University Early life and college career Allen attended Batavia High School in Batavia, New York, where he was raised. Allen played for three seasons on the Penn Quakers football team until 1940, when he left to serve in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. He served until 1945 and achieved the rank of captain. Upon leaving the military, he returned to Penn for his fourth and final season. Allen was an All-American honorable mention at Penn. Eddie Allen (American Football Coach)
Edward Allen (born October 24, 1980) is an American college football coach and former player. He currently is a special teams assistant for Rutgers. He previously was recently the Special Teams Coordinator at the University of Connecticut. He has coordinated special teams for the majority of his coaching career. Before UConn, Allen had coaching stops at Hofstra, Fort Scott Community College, Rutgers, Rhode Island, and Delaware. Playing career Allen played quarterback for the New Haven Chargers, an NCAA Division II school in West Haven, Connecticut. He was a four-year letterwinner for head coach and offensive coordinator, and former Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders head coach, Tony Sparano. Coaching career Allen got his coaching start in 2003 as a graduate assistant and video coordinator at Hofstra. In 2004, Allen coached the wide receivers at Fort Scott Community College. Edward Clifton Allen (December 15, 1897 – January 28, 1974) was an American jazz trumpeter and cornetist. Early life Allen was born in Nashville, Tennessee on December 15, 1897.
