Ed Williams (actor)
Edwin Wallace Williams (born November 26, 1926) is an American actor, who played Ted Olsen on the Television program#Seasons/series, TV series ''Police Squad!'' and in ''The Naked Gun'' films. Williams was a broadcasting and speech teacher at Los Angeles City College in Southern California. He retired and then took acting classes. With the help of some contacts, he started acting as a second career. Despite the success of ''The Naked Gun'' films, Williams only had minor roles in other movies, such as ''The Giant of Thunder Mountain'' (1991) and ''Carnosaur (film), Carnosaur'' (1993). Edward Eugene Williams (born September 8, 1961) is a former American football player who played seven seasons as a linebacker for the New England Patriots in the National Football League, including Super Bowl XX. Prior to that, he played college football as a defensive end for the Texas Longhorns where he College Football Ed Williams played college football at Texas, helping them to win Southwest Conference Championships in 1981 and 1983. In 1981, the Longhorns won the Cotton Bowl and finished ranked #2. In 1983 he had a game-ending safety against then-undefeated SMU that allowed Texas to retain its #2 ranking. Pro Football Williams was selected in the 2nd round of the 1984 NFL draft by the New England Patriots with the 43rd pick overall. Edward Christopher Williams (born 20 July 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chippenham Town. Club career Born in Cheltenham, Williams spent his early career with Cheltenham Town, Gloucester City and Kidderminster Harriers, before signing for Doncaster Rovers in August 2020. He was made available by Doncaster manager Richie Wellens in July 2021, but he returned to the first-team squad in December 2021 by caretaker manager Gary McSheffrey.
