ESPN Rise Boys' High School Basketball All-Americans
An All-American team is an honorary sports team composed of the best amateur players of a specific season—who in turn are given the honorific "All-America" and typically referred to as "All-American athletes", or simply "All-Americans". Although the honorees generally do not compete together as a unit, the term is used in U.S. team sports to refer to players who are selected by members of the national media. Walter Camp selected the first All-America team in the early days of American football in 1889. Chuck Taylor made the first boys' high school basketball All-American selections in 1949. Rivals
A rivalry is the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship. Rivalry is the "against each other" spirit between two competing sides. The relationship itself may also be called "a rivalry", and each participant or side a rival to the other. Someone's main rival may be called an archrival. Sylvan Hills High School
Sylvan Hills High School is an accredited comprehensive public high school located in the city of Sherwood, Arkansas, United States, serving grades nine through twelve. Sylvan Hills is one of four high schools administered by the Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD). Prior to 1956, Sylvan Hills School instructed students through grade nine until local citizens gathered to approve expanding the school to a senior high, resulting in its first graduating class in 1959. Archie Lee Goodwin III (born August 17, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for BC Budivelnyk of the European North Basketball League and the Champions League. He played college basketball for Kentucky. High school career Goodwin attended Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas where he played for coach Kevin Davis and led his team to back-to-back state finals. As a junior in 2010–2011, his bid for a championship came up short when his team fell to Alma High School from Alma, Arkansas. Isaiah Charles Austin (born October 25, 1993) is an American former professional basketball player. He played two years of college basketball for Baylor University and was set to enter the NBA in 2014 until he was diagnosed with a mild form of Marfan syndrome. Julius Deion Randle (born November 29, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
