EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championships
The EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championships is the premier amateur junior snooker tournament in Europe. The event series is sanctioned by the European Billiards & Snooker Association. It took place first in 1997 and is held annually since then. The event was known as the EBSA European Under-19 Snooker Championships until 2010. In most years the winner of the tournament qualifies for the next two seasons of the World Snooker Tour as well as being awarded the Ebdon Trophy which is named in honour of former World Champion Peter Ebdon. Wellingborough ( ) is a large market and commuter town in the unitary authority area of North Northamptonshire in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England, 65 miles from London and from Northampton on the north side of the River Nene. Jamie O'Neill (snooker Player)
Jamie O'Neill (born 19 August 1986) is an English professional snooker player who lives in Wellingborough. Career O'Neill began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. He qualified for the 2007/2008 Main Tour by finishing 6th in the International Open Series Order of Merit. He won the sixth of eight events, beating Ashley Wright 6–2 in the final at Prestatyn. O'Neill has also won two significant amateur titles, the 2003 European Under-19 Championship and the 2006 English Open Championship. Mark Joyce (born 11 August 1983) is an English professional snooker player who lives in Walsall. He began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003. Joyce enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2001, the English Open in 2005 and the English Amateur Championship in 2006, beating Martin O'Donnell 8–3 in the final.
