E. R. Ward Neale Medal
The E. R. Neale Medal, named after E. R. Ward Neale, past Geological Association of Canada president, is awarded by the Geological Association of Canada to an individual for sustained outstanding efforts in sharing geology, earth science with Canadians. The award recognizes outstanding efforts to communicate and explain geoscience to the public through public lectures, print or electronic media articles, school visits, elementary and secondary school educational materials, field trips, science fairs, and other public communications. Nick Zentner
Nick Zentner is an American academic who works as a geology professor at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. Outside of his work with the university, he is known for his online videos covering the geology of the Northwestern United States and his series ''Nick on the Rocks''. Early life and education Zentner was born on July 20, 1962 in the state of Wisconsin. He is the maternal grandson of inaugural Chicago Cardinals guard Clyde Zoia. Inspired during a 1983 trip to the Pacific Northwest on break from college, Zentner decided to study geology. Zentner earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1986 and a Master of Science from Idaho State University in 1989. Jeffrey "Jeff" Young (born March 31, 1962) is an American guitarist. He graduated from Musicians Institute in 1985, and is best known for his time with the thrash metal band Megadeth, appearing on the 1988 album '' So Far, So Good... So What!'' (Capitol Records). In 1998, Young co-wrote, produced and played on the world-fusion album ''Chameleon'' by Badi Assad. Mika McKinnon is a Canadian field geophysicist, disaster researcher, and science communicator. Mark Fenton (November 11, 1866 – July 29, 1925) was an American stage performer and motion-picture character actor who appeared in at least 80 films between 1914 and 1925. Fenton had considerable experience performing on stage prior to acting in silent films. His early stage work included parts in Charles Frohman's productions.
