E. B. Teague
Eldred Burder "E. B." Teague (January 20, 1820 – November 24, 1902) was an Alabama Baptist minister and educational leader of the 19th century. E. B. Teague was born in Newberry County, South Carolina on January 20, 1820. In 1822, his family moved to Greene County, Alabama, then to Shelby County, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama on December 16, 1840, and received a Master of Arts three years later. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Howard College in 1870. On June 15, 1843, he married Sophia Nelson Blount, who was the daughter of James G. Blount (a former sheriff of Tuscaloosa County). Together they had six children. After Sophia's death, he married Louise Emeline Philpot in June 1861 in Tuskegee, Alabama. This marriage produced ten children. He was a teacher for six years in Montgomery County, and became an ordained minister in 1844. Newberry County is a county located in the U.S. state of South Carolina. As of the 2020 census, its population was 37,719. Its county seat is Newberry. The name is of unknown origin. Montevallo is a city in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. A college town, it is the home of the University of Montevallo, a public liberal arts university with approximately 3,000 students. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city of Montevallo is 7,229. Geography Montevallo is located at (33.1049, -86.8628). The Army of Tennessee was the principal Confederate army operating between the Appalachian Mountains and the Mississippi River during the American Civil War. American Civil War

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) is a Baptist theological institute in Louisville, Kentucky. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The seminary was founded in 1859 in Greenville, South Carolina, where it was at first housed on the campus of Furman University. The seminary has been an innovator in theological education, establishing one of the first Ph.D. programs in religion in the year 1892. After being closed during the Civil War, it moved in 1877 to a newly built campus in downtown Louisville and moved to its current location in 1926 in the Crescent Hill neighborhood. The Alabama Baptist Convention (ABC or ABSC) is an autonomous association of Baptist churches in the state of Alabama formed in 1823. It is one of the state conventions associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions promotes evangelism and discipleship in Alabama, develops church leadership, assists in the foundation of new churches and funds state-level, national and global missions including a newspaper, Christian schools, children's aid programs, retirement centers and so on. Fourmile, Alabama
Fourmile, also known as Redlawn, is an unincorporated community in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. Fourmile is located northeast of Columbiana and west of Wilsonville. Some of the early settlers of Fourmile came from Lexington County and Newberry County, South Carolina. Fourmile Baptist Church was founded on August 25, 1824, (under the name of Bethesda Baptist Church) and is the oldest continuously functioning church in the Shelby Baptist Association. The Shelby Baptist Association was founded at Bethesda Baptist Church in 1852. It is also one of the oldest existing churches of the Alabama Baptist Convention. One of the prominent early members of the church was John W. Teague, who was an early settler of Columbiana and the father of Eldred B. Teague. E. B. Wilsonville, Alabama
Wilsonville is a town in southeastern Shelby County, Alabama, United States, located northeast of Columbiana. At the 2020 census, the population was 1,857. Wilsonville is named after the earliest settler in the area, Elisha Wilson. The town was incorporated in 1897. 3 years later in 1900, it had the distinction of being the largest community in Shelby County with 1,095, edging out the county seat of Columbiana by 20 people.
