The Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn (german: S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr) is a polycentric and electrically driven S-train network covering the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region in the German federated state of North Rhine-Westphalia. S7 (Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn)
Line S 7 is an S-Bahn line on the Rhine-Ruhr network in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which has been operated by VIAS GmbH from Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof to Solingen Hauptbahnhof since 15 December 2013. It is operated at 20-minute intervals, using LINT 41 vehicles. The service was previously classified as Regionalbahn service RB 47, known as the ''Der Müngstener'', a reference to the Müngsten Bridge, which it crosses and DB Regio had operated it on the same route with class 628 diesel multiple units since 1994. S11 (Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn)
Line S 11 is a S-Bahn line operated by DB Regio on the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn network. It connects Düsseldorf Airport Terminal with Bergisch Gladbach, running via Düsseldorf Neuss, Dormagen and Cologne. Before 13 December 2009, the service operated from Wuppertal-Vohwinkel in peak time, sharing the Wuppertal-Düsseldorf run with the S8 trains. Normal operation, though, started at Düsseldorf-Wehrhahn. Since the introduction of the new 2010 Schedule the service starts at Düsseldorf Airport Terminal replacing the line S 7 to Düsseldorf Hbf. The former run to Wuppertal-Vohwinkel is now conducted by the S 68. The S11 runs are normally operated with DBAG Class 423 stock, usually with two coupled sets per train. Rheinbahn is a public transport operator operating in Düsseldorf, Meerbusch and Kreis Mettmann.
