Dónall Ó Héalai
Dónall Ó Héalai () (born 1987) is an Irish actor and voice actor. He was named a 2020 ''Screen International'' Star of Tomorrow and one to watch in 2021 by ''The Irish Examiner''. Early life and education Ó Héalai was born in the Gaeltacht village of Inverin, County Galway and grew up in Inverin and Spiddal. He began acting at the age of 14 at a local youth club. He completed his secondary education as a boarding student at St Jarlath's College in Tuam. He graduated from Maynooth University. He was awarded the Dr. H.H Stewart Literary Prize during his studies. He went on to train at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York and Bow Street Academy in Dublin. Career In 2006, Ó Héalai made his onscreen debut as a teenager in the recurring role of Jeaic in season 1 of the TG4 coming-of-age family series '' Aifric''. The Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF; ) is an annual film festival held in Dublin, Ireland, since 2003. History Dublin International Film Festival was established in 2003. It was revived by Michael Dwyer, international film critic and ''The Irish Times'' Chief Film Correspondent, along with David McLoughlin, film producer. The duo had started the initial Dublin film Festival in the 1980s when Mc Loughlin was still an undergraduate in Trinity College Dublin. The festival was established to present an opportunity for Dublin's cinema-going audiences to experience the best in Irish and international cinema. "Dublin has remarkable film attendance per capita, among the highest in Europe, certainly the highest in the EU," Dwyer said in a 2003 interview. 16th Irish Film & Television Awards
The 16th Irish Film & Television Academy Awards took place on 18 October 2020. Because no ceremony was held in 2019, this ceremony honoured films and television drama released in both 2018 and 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no physical ceremony took place; instead, there was a "virtual ceremony" hosted by Deirdre O’Kane. The nominations for the IFTAs were announced by the Irish Film and Television Academy on 14 July 2020. People presenting awards included President Michael D. The Coronas
The Coronas are an Irish rock band that originated in Dublin. They release their music by their own independent record label, 3ú Records, and are based between Dublin and London. They have released seven studio albums, '' Heroes or Ghosts'' (2007), '' Tony Was an Ex-Con'' (2009), '' Closer to You'' (2011) The Long Way (2014), Trust The Wire (2017), True Love Waits (2020) Time Stopped (2022). Three of the band's members - Danny O'Reilly, Graham Knox and Conor Egan - met at Terenure College where they formed a band called Kiros with a friend. The band split and then reformed as ''Corona'', later changing the name to ''The Coronas'' to avoid any confusion with the Italian dance outfit.
