DynoVoice Records
DynoVoice Records was an American record label, founded in 1965 by songwriter/producer Bob Crewe. The label started as Dyno-Vox, but was changed when the 5th single was issued. DynoVoice, along with its NewVoice Records subsidiary, was originally distributed by Bell Records, and later by Dot Records. The label existed until 1969 when it was merged into the Crewe Group of Companies (CGC) label. Some of the label's best-known releases include The Bob Crewe Generation's hit " Music to Watch Girls By", the soundtrack album for Dino de Laurentiis's camp sci-fi film '' Barbarella'', and material by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Eddie Rambeau
Eddie Rambeau (born Edward Cletus Fluri; June 30, 1943) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Career While performing in a high-school musical he had written, Rambeau met songwriter and musician Bud Rehak, who went on to become his manager. With Rehak playing the piano, Rambeau sang at record hops and the like, where he impressed deejays with his talent. One of the deejays, Jim Ward from Plymouth, Pennsylvania, set up an audition for Rambeau at Swan Records. He was signed to the label and released his first single, "Skin Divin'", under his new name, Eddie Rambeau, on graduation day in June 1961. Now eighteen, Rambeau moved to Philadelphia, where Swan Records was based. The following year, 1962, Rambeau recorded two more singles, "My Four Leaf Clover Love" and " Summertime Guy". Maggie Thrett
Maggie Thrett (born Diane Pine; November 18, 1946 – December 18, 2022) was an American actress and singer. Biography At age 15, she made her off-Broadway debut in 1962 in ''Out Brief Candle''. By the age of 18, she was regularly performing as a dancer at Trude Heller's in Greenwich Village, New York, as observed in the January 1965 edition of ''Harper's Bazaar''. As a vocalist, Thrett recorded a single (under her birth name) entitled "Lucky Girl" for Take 3 Records in 1964, and had a minor US hit (as Maggie Thrett) in 1965 with "Soupy", produced by Bob Crewe and issued on the DynoVoice (formerly Dyno-Vox) label. Mitch Ryder (born William Sherille Levise, Jr.; February 26, 1945) is an American musician who has recorded more than 25 albums over more than four decades. Career Ryder formed his first band, Tempest, when he was at Warren High School, and the group gained some notice playing at a Detroit soul music club called The Village. Ryder next appeared fronting a band named Billy Lee & The Rivieras, which had limited success until they met songwriter / record producer Bob Crewe. He selected his stage name when he saw "Mitch Ryder" in the Manhattan telephone directory and renamed the group Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. The Chicago Loop was an American rock group from Chicago, Illinois, United States. The group, formed in 1966, consisted of Bob Slawson (vocals), Judy Novy (vocals), John Savanna, alternate touring (guitar), Barry Goldberg (piano), Carmine Riale (bass), and John Siomos (drums). In 1966, they released the single, "(When She Needs Good Lovin') She Comes to Me" b/w "This Must Be the Place" on DynoVoice Records. Some of the pressings of the single had an alternate title, "(When She Wants Good Lovin') My Baby Comes to Me". Robert Stanley Crewe (November 12, 1930 – September 11, 2014) was an American songwriter, dancer, singer, manager, and record producer. He was known for producing, and co-writing with Bob Gaudio, a string of Top 10 singles for the Four Seasons.
