Dynamo Blues F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Tuam, County Galway. They were founded in 1978. The club have 3 Adult teams competing in the Galway & District League, including a Ladies side which started in 2021. The Ladies team reached the Galway FA Championship Cup Final in only their first season in 2022. They remain the only club from Tuam and the surrounding areas to have won the Galway & District League Premier Division. Ground The New Club grounds are currently in construction in An Tuairín Dublin Road Tuam, It will include 2 full size pitches, 1 training pitch & clubhouse. The club for many years played their home games on the College Field on Athenry Road. The pitch was completed in 2022, with the first game taking place on the 10th April against Cois Fharraige C.S.. Tuam
Tuam ( ; ga, Tuaim , meaning 'mound' or 'burial-place') is a town in Ireland and the second-largest settlement in County Galway. It is west of the midlands of Ireland, about north of Galway city. Humans have lived in the area since the Bronze Age while the historic period dates from the sixth century. The town became increasingly important in the 11th and 12th centuries in political and religious aspects of Ireland. The market-based layout of the town and square indicates the importance of commerce. The red Latin cross of the Coat of arms is representative of Tuam's importance as an ecclesiastical centre. The double green flaunches at the sides, represent the two hills or shoulders of Tuam's ancient name, . The two crowns recall the High Kings, Tairrdelbach and Ruaidrí, who were based in Tuam. The Galway & District League is an association football league organized by the Galway Football Association. It features amateur and junior clubs from County Galway. It currently features six divisions. Its top division, the Premier Division, is a seventh level division in the Republic of Ireland football league system. Galway & District League teams also compete the FAI Junior Cup. It is currently sponsored by Western Hygiene Supplies, a company based in Tuam History From newspapers viewed at the National Library of Ireland, the first Galway League may have been played for in 1925–26. Connacht Senior Cup (association Football)
Connacht Senior Cup is an association football cup competition organised by the Connacht Football Association. This cup competition should not be confused with the more regularly played Connacht Junior Cup which has effectively been the top level competition for non-League of Ireland clubs when the Senior Cup has been inactive. History Connacht Senior League Between 1981 and 1982 and 1999–2000, when the Connacht Senior League, was active the Connacht Senior Cup featured the members of the CSL and the champions of four junior leagues based in the province – the Galway & District League, the Sligo-Leitrim League, the Mayo Association Football League and the Roscommon & District League. Galway ( ; ga, Gaillimh, ) is a city in the West of Ireland, in the province of Connacht, which is the county town of County Galway.
