''Dynamite'' (Swedish: ''Dynamit'') is a 1947 Swedish crime drama film directed by Åke Ohberg and starring Birgit Tengroth, Bengt Ekerot and Marianne Löfgren.Larsson & Marklund p.150 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nils Nilsson. Synopsis A young tearaway is drifting into a life of petty crime. He steals some dynamite in order to frighten people. However, one of his teachers believes that there is still hope for him. Dynamite
Dynamite is an explosive made of nitroglycerin, sorbents (such as powdered shells or clay), and Stabilizer (chemistry), stabilizers. It was invented by the Swedish people, Swedish chemist and engineer Alfred Nobel in Geesthacht, Northern Germany, and patented in 1867. It rapidly gained wide-scale use as a more robust alternative to gun powder, black powder. History Dynamite was invented by Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel in the 1860s and was the first safely manageable explosive stronger than black powder. Alfred Nobel's father, Immanuel Nobel, was an industrialist, engineer, and inventor. He built bridges and buildings in Stockholm and founded Sweden's first rubber factory. Åke Ohberg (20 July 1905 – 18 July 1975) was a cinema of Sweden, Swedish actor and film director. He appeared in about 30 roles in films between 1932 and 1961. Ohberg was born to Johan and Hulda Ohberg in Västerås, Sweden. Marriage and Family He married actress Birgit Chenon but that marriage did not last. Birgit Tengroth
Birgit Tengroth (13 July 1915 – 21 September 1983) was a Swedish film actress. She appeared in more than 40 films between 1926 and 1950. Biography Tengroth debuted in Sven Jerring's radio show 'Barnens BrevlÃ¥da' together with her friend Sickan Carlsson at the age of 10. She studied at Royal Opera's ballet school 1926-31. Her first work for the movies was a small part in Mordbrännerskan (1926). She got a contract with the leading Swedish studio Svensk Filmindustri (SF) in 1932 and remained there throughout the decade. She was known for playing fresh, girl next door roles, which gave her a popular following amongst young fans. When Ingrid Bergman made her screen debut, she was unfavourably compared to Tengroth. Hilda Borgström
Hilda Teresia Borgström (13 October 1871 – 2 January 1953) was a Swedish stage and film actress. Biography Born in 1871 in Stockholm, Borgström made her film debut in 1912. She starred in leading parts in Victor Sjöström's silent films ''Ingeborg Holm'' (aka ''Margaret Day'') (1913) and '' Körkarlen'' (aka ''The Phantom Carriage/The Stroke of Midnight/Thy Soul Shall Bear Witness'') in 1921.
