Dynamis Ensemble
The Dynamis Ensemble originated in 1999 in Milan, Italy, from a group of musicians already active within the framework of international concerts, joined by an intense passion for the knowledge and diffusion of contemporary music and 20th-century composers. Since then, the group has established in Italian contemporary music circles regarding their performance, precision and technical skills, frequently combining the music of young composers with the works of the masters. In addition, the Dynamis Ensemble has performed in numerous concerts at important cultural centres, both in Italy and abroad, such as Festival Milano Musica, Aspekte Salzburg, Mostra Sonora Sueca (Spain), Festival Internacional Cervantino (Mexico), International Forum of Cultures UNESCO Monterrey (Mexico), and Forum Neue Musik Luzern. It is formally analogous to the fantasia (fantasy), found in England, Germany, and the Low Countries, and also the ricercare, first found in Italy. Javier Torres Maldonado (born 1968) is a Mexican composer internationally recognized for, mostly, his orchestral, chamber, vocal and electro-acoustic works. Biography Born in Chetumal (Mexico), José Javier Torres Maldonado studied violin and composition at the Mexico City Conservatory and later, invited by Franco Donatoni, composition at the “G. Verdi” Milan Conservatory, under the supervision of Sandro Gorli and Alessandro Solbiati; he completed his postgraduate studies under Franco Donatoni, Azio Corghi (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Accademia Musicale Chigiana) and Ivan Fedele (Conservatoire de Strasbourg). Alessandro Solbiati (born 9 September 1956) is an Italian composer of classical music, who composed instrumental music for chamber ensembles and orchestra, art songs and operas.
