Dylan Buckley
Dylan Buckley (born 16 March 1993) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants and the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the creator, producer and host of two of Australia's most popular sports-themed podcasts: ''Dyl & Friends'' and ''List Cloggers'', ranked 2nd and 5th, respectively, in the sports category, according to Chartable as of June 2022. Junior career Buckley played school football for Ivanhoe Grammar School and also played TAC Cup football with the Northern Knights. He was a member of the 2009 AIS-AFL Academy, and he represented Vic Metro in the 2010 AFL Under 18 Championships. Northern Knights Football Club
The Northern Knights is an Australian rules football club playing in the Talent League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based in Preston, representing the northern suburban area of Melbourne. The Knights are one of the six original clubs set up as part of a plan by the Victorian State Football League to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft, which allows U18 players the opportunity to be selected by AFL clubs. Richard "Harry" Harris, , is an Australian anaesthetist and cave diver who played a crucial role in the Tham Luang cave rescue. He and Craig Challen were jointly awarded 2019 Australian of the Year as a result of that rescue. Benjamin Ramon Rowen (born November 15, 1988) is an American professional baseball former pitcher and current scout (sport), scout and coach. Joshua Kelly (born 12 February 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the Greater Western Sydney Giants with the second overall selection in the 2013 national draft. Melbourne Marathon
The Melbourne Marathon has been held annually since 1978. The 42.195 km run over the traditional marathon distance is the main race within the annual Melbourne Marathon Festival. The race celebrated its 30th birthday in 2007 with a new course which featured the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as both the starting point and finishing point. A total of 3328 competitors completed the 2008 race. Another 17,000 people participated in Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10 km and 5.5 km events. The 2019 running of the marathon saw an Australian record of 7037 finishers, 1880 of whom were female (27%). In 1978 approximately 4% of the 1947 finishers were female. 2019 AFL Season
The 2019 AFL season was the 123rd season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989.
