Dykeman Point () is a snow-covered point between Rameau Inlet and Verdi Inlet, marking the northwestern extremity of Pesce Peninsula on the Beethoven Peninsula, southwest Alexander Island, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from U.S. Navy aerial photographs taken 1967–68 and from Landsat imagery taken 1972–73. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Commander Paul R. Dykeman Waldron Baily
Dykeman Waldron Baily (July 1, 1871 - 1953) was a businessman and writer. His novel '' The Heart of the Blue Ridge'' was adapted into a silent film. Baily established Baily Manufacturing Company, a locust wood pin and cross arm manufacturing business in Elkin, North Carolina. He also owned the Baily Chair Company. Many of his books are set in North Carolina locations including Bogue Banks, North Carolina's Piedmont region and Wilkes County, North Carolina. Baily was born in Mount Kisco, New York. Dykeman's was a station on the Harlem Line of the New York Central Railroad (now Metro-North Railroad). It was 55 miles from Grand Central Terminal. Southeast is a town in Putnam County, New York, United States, so named for its location in the southeastern corner of the county. The population was 18,058 at the 2020 census. The town as a whole is informally referred to as Brewster, the town's principal settlement; the latter is also an incorporated village within the town's borders.
