Dwight Airport is a public-use airport located three miles north of Dwight, Illinois. The airport is privately owned by the Dwight Aero Service. The largest airports close to Dwight are the Greater Kankakee Airport and Chicago's Midway International Airport. Dwight, Illinois
Dwight is a village located mainly in Livingston County, Illinois, with a small portion in Grundy County. The population was 4,032 at the 2020 census. Dwight contains an original stretch of U.S. Route 66, and from 1892 until 2016 continuously used a railroad station designed in 1891 by Henry Ives Cobb. Interstate 55 bypasses the village to the north and west. Geography Dwight is located in northeastern Livingston County at (41.092975, -88.427273). It extends north into southern Grundy County to include the commercial area near the northern exit with Interstate 55. I-55 leads northeast to Chicago and southwest to Bloomington. Greater Kankakee Airport is a public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Kankakee, a city in Kankakee County, Illinois, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. The airport was opened in 1962 and continues to operate as a general aviation facility serving the Kankakee area and South Chicago. It is south of Chicago and north of Champaign, Illinois. It is the largest airport between the Chicago Midway Airport and the Champaign Airport. Midway International Airport
