Dwayne Killings
Dwayne Killings (born April 4, 1981) is an American basketball player and current head coach for the Albany Great Danes men's basketball team. Playing career Killings was a walk-on player at UMass from 1999 to 2001, before transferring to Hampton University for his final two years of college. Coaching career Killings began coaching right after graduating from college, joining the staff of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats as a special assistant and video coordinator. In 2006, he became the assistant director of basketball operators at Temple. Following three years with the Owls, Killings started working in the NBA D-League monitoring player development and progress. He began his first job as an assistant coach for college basketball in 2010 at Boston University, where he helped lead the team to a conference championship and an NCAA tournament appearance. America East Conference
The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University. Bryant University is the only private university among the core membership. Of the nine members, eight are located within the borders of 7 contiguous states. The ninth, UMBC, is the only institution outside this bloc of states. 2021–22 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 9, 2021 and concluded on March 13, 2022. The 2022 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament culminated the season and began on March 15 and concluded on April 4 with the championship game at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rule changes The following rule changes have been recommended by the NCAA Basketball Rules Committee to the Playing Rules Oversight Panel for the 2021–22 season: *Flopping can result in a technical foul. *Increase to six personal fouls before disqualification, with a maximum of four fouls allowed per half (experimental in NIT for 2022).
