Duvbo metro station is a station on the blue line of the Stockholm metro, located in Central Sundbyberg in Sundbyberg Municipality. It is named after the nearby Duvbo area. Sundbyberg Municipality
Sundbyberg Municipality (''Sundbybergs kommun'' or ''Sundbybergs stad'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, just north of the capital Stockholm. Sundbyberg is wholly within the Stockholm urban area and has a 100% urban population. Sundbyberg was detached from Bromma (which since 1916 is in Stockholm Municipality) in 1888 as a market town (''köping''). It got the title of a city in 1927. In 1949 parts of Solna Municipality and Spånga Municipality (when the rest of Spånga was amalgamated into Stockholm) were added. A proposed merger with Solna in 1971 was never implemented, making Sundbyberg, with an area of , the smallest municipality in Sweden, but also the most densely populated. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. Central Sundbyberg
Central Sundbyberg (''Centrala Sundbyberg'') is considered the oldest and most original part of Sundbyberg Municipality in Sweden. It is one of Stockholm's oldest satellite towns. Its proximity to Stockholm City Centre, nostalgic environment and well-connected transportation networks has made this part of town an attractive housing area. Västra skogen ( sv, The Western Forest) is a station on the Blue Line of the Stockholm metro, in Huvudsta, Solna Municipality. The station was opened on 31 August 1975 as part the first stretch of the Blue Line between T-Centralen and Hjulsta. The trains were running via Hallonbergen and Rinkeby. On 18 August 1985 the extension to Rinkeby was opened, and the stretch between Hallonbergen and Rinkeby was closed for passenger traffic. It features one of the longest escalators in western Europe, 66 meters and with a vertical rise of 33 meters.
