Dutchess Stadium
Dutchess Stadium is a baseball park in Wappingers Falls, New York. Opened in 1994, it holds 4,500 people. It is located on New York State Route 9D and is located across Interstate 84 in New York, Interstate 84 from Fishkill Correctional Facility. Construction of the stadium began in January 1994 and it opened six months later in June 1994. Uses The stadium is primarily used for baseball, as the home field of the Hudson Valley Renegades minor league baseball team. In 2021, the team joined the High-A East as an affiliate of the New York Yankees. Formerly the Renegades were the Class A Short Season, short season-A level team of the Tampa Bay Rays in the now-defunct New York-Penn League. Each April the stadium hosts the Hudson Valley Baseball Classic between Marist Red Foxes, Marist College and the Army Black Knights, United States Military Academy. Wappingers Falls, New York
Wappingers Falls is a village in Dutchess County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 5,522. The community was named for the cascade in Wappinger Creek. The Wappingers Falls post office covers areas in the towns of Wappinger, Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, East Fishkill, and LaGrange. This can result in some confusion when residents of the outlying towns, who do not live in the village, give their address as "Wappingers Falls". Wappingers Falls' Grinnell Library is the sixth-oldest library in the state. History The Wappinger were an Algonquian-speaking confederacy of Native Americans whose territory in the 17th century extended along the eastern bank of the Hudson River. Def Leppard
Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1976 in Sheffield. Wilco is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois. Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia. Now based in Atlanta, the group consists of lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb, and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett. The Army Black Knights are the athletic teams that represent the United States Military Academy, located in West Point, New York. Marist Red Foxes
The Red Foxes are the athletic teams of Marist College. The Marist Red Foxes compete in NCAA Division I athletics as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) the only exception being football, a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL).
