Dutch Marich is an American director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work on the film ''Horror in the High Desert''. Life and career Dutch was raised in Ruth, Nevada. His debut feature film, ''Bleed Out'', starred Girlicious#Nichole Cordova, Nichole Cordova. His second feature film, ''Hunting'', premiered on September 30, 2019, on Amazon Prime Video. His recent films are ''Infernum'' (2019), ''Reaptown'' (2020) and ''Horror in the High Desert'' (2021). Horror In The High Desert
''Horror in the High Desert'' is a 2021 American film written, produced, and directed by Dutch Marich, in the pseudo-documentary format, and featuring Found footage (appropriation), found footage elements about the mysterious disappearance of a hiker in the High Desert region of Nevada. It is based on the disappearance of a hiker, Kenny Veach. Plot In the style of a documentary film, the first part focuses on the police "missing person" report of amateur hiker Gary Hinge: Toward the end of July 2017, Gary hiked to an unspecified area in the Great Basin Desert (Nevada). His starting point was the town of Ruth, Nevada, Ruth and his target was presumably a cabin he had approached on a previous expedition. Ruth, Nevada
Ruth is a census-designated place (CDP) in White Pine County, Nevada, United States. Founded in 1903, it had a population of 440 at the 2010 census. Ruth was built as a company town for the adjacent Robinson Mine, a large open-pit copper mine, which is still in operation as of 2022. Demographics History Ruth began as a settlement for workers of the White Pine Copper Company in 1903. It derived its name from the Ruth mining claim which was named for Ruth McDonald, daughter of the original owner of the mining claim. With the opening Nevada Northern Railway in the year 1906 copper production began to boom. In 1905, Daniel C. Jackling "evaluated a low-grade copper prospect", which he turned into "an impressive open-pit and satellite cave (the Veteran Mine)." Girlicious was an American girl group originally formed by Robin Antin, creator of the Pussycat Dolls, from The CW reality TV show ''Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious''. The group was originally signed to Geffen Records and composed of members Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson, Chrystina Sayers and Natalie Mejia. Their Girlicious (album), self-titled debut album was released in Canada in August 2008 and reached number two on the Canadian Albums Chart.
