Durgaa
''Durgaa'' is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Shibu Mitra. It stars Hema Malini in the title role, along with Ashok Kumar, Pran, Raj Babbar, Aruna Irani in pivotal roles. Rajesh Khanna made a special appearance here. The music is by Sonik Omi. Plot Durgaa (Hema Malini), the only daughter of Dinanath (Ashok Kumar), is a soft-spoken girl who is exploited by various men in her life. At first, Durgaa falls in love Sunil Narayan (Raj Babbar) and even marries him. But she realises after marriage that her husband had married her only as an excuse to sleep with her. Shibu Mitra is an Indian film director and producer. His career spans more than 40 feature films in Bollywood, and his movies were particularly popular in the late 1970s and through out 1980s, the most successful among them being Shankar Dada, ''Aakhri Goli'', Paanch Qaidi, ''Ilzaam'', ''Aag Hi Aag'', '' Paap Ki Duniya'', '' Insaaf Main Karoongaa'', Maan Gaye Ustaad and Durgaa. Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' (Hamraaz). His name however became most closely associated with patriotic songs including Mere Desh Ki Dharti in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar.
