Dungannon Swifts
Dungannon Swifts Football Club is a Northern Irish, semi-professional football club playing in the NIFL Premiership. The club, founded in 1949, has risen from the Mid-Ulster league to the top tier in Northern Ireland since its election to the Irish League First Division in 1997. Dungannon earned promotion from Irish League First Division to the Premier Division in the 2002–03 season. The Swifts hail from Dungannon, County Tyrone and plays their home matches at Stangmore Park. Club colours are royal blue with white trim (home strip) and yellow with a red trim (away strip). Dungannon have a mentality of developing future players from their youth system and deploying them into the first team at a relatively young age. The clubs' current manager is Dean Shiels. Stangmore Park
Stangmore Park is a football stadium in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is the home ground of Dungannon Swifts, and holds around 2,000 spectators, 300 of whom can be seated. History Stangmore Park was opened in 1975 after a temporary wooden social club was built after Dungannon Swifts had bought the land from a local company. In 1982, the wooden social club was removed and replaced with a clubhouse. In 2006, Stangmore Park was attacked by vandals. Eight crates of beer had been stolen from the ground. The police reported that half of the bottles in the crates had littered the pitch with glass being stuck in the goals and the centre of the pitch. This also led to the postponement of a semi-final of the Bob Radcliffe Cup. Stangmore Park has often been used as a nominated home ground for teams promoted into the IFA Premiership if their own grounds fail to meet Irish Football Association criteria. Cork City Football Club ( ga, Cumann Peile Chathair Chorcaí) is an Irish association football club based in Cork. The club was founded and elected to the League of Ireland in 1984. It was one of the first clubs in Ireland (and the first in Cork) to field a team of professional footballers. With the progression of professionalism at the club, continued development of the Turners Cross stadium and the transition to summer football, the club became one of the biggest and best supported clubs in the country. Rodney McAree
Rodney Joseph McAree (born 19 August 1974) is a Northern Irish former footballer and current manager of NIFL Premiership side Dungannon Swifts. His father Joe was awarded an MBE, in the 2014 New Year Honours List, for services to sport and to the community. Playing career McAree began his playing career as a trainee with Liverpool. He then spent a season with Bristol City, before joining Fulham, then in the Football League Third Division. McAree spent four largely uneventful seasons with Fulham, but scored a vital winning goal in the final minute against Carlisle United, which eventually led to Fulham's promotion. Despite only playing a handful of games, McAree became a cult hero, and his name is still occasionally sung by Fulham fans. He had a loan spell at Woking in 1998. Glenn Ferguson
Glenn Ferguson (born 10 July 1969) is a Northern Irish former football player and manager. Ferguson amassed over 1,000 domestic appearances in a career where he played for Ards, Glenavon, Linfield and Lisburn Distillery, and scored a total of 563 goals, placing him 2nd behind Jimmy Jones (646) on the list of all-time goalscorers in Northern Irish football. He was also capped 5 times by Northern Ireland. In his 21-year career Ferguson won 30 winner's medals. Rory Hamill
Rory Hamill (born 4 May 1976) is a former footballer from Northern Ireland. Playing career Rory Hamill had been capped for Northern Ireland youth before joining English Premier League club Southampton as a trainee in 1992. He failed to make the senior team and left for Division Three side Fulham in November 1994. In the first season, he played a total of 25 League and Cup games, scoring seven goals. He was also capped for Northern Ireland B-team cap in a 3–0 defeat by Scotland B in February 1995. The next season Hamill failed to establish his position in the Fulham first team. In September 1996 he joined Glentoran on loan, a move that became permanent in November. His performance for Glentoran brought him back to the attention of the Northern Ireland set-up and he won his second B cap in a 1–0 defeat by Wales in February 1999. The 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup was the first edition after a major change of the competition format. Knattspyrnudeild Keflavíkur is an Icelandic football team, commonly known as Keflavík.
