Dundee Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Dundee in Yates County, New York. Notable buildings include the former school housing the Greater Dundee Historical Society (1891), Dundee State Bank (1901), Baptist Church (1887), and a variety of mid- to late-19th century commercial buildings. Dundee, Michigan
Dundee is a village in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,323 at the 2020 census. The village is within Dundee Township and is served by Dundee Community Schools. Settled as early as 1823, Dundee was incorporated as a village in 1855. The downtown Dundee Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which also includes the Old Mill Museum and the Macon Reservation of the River Raisin National Battlefield Park. The village is nicknamed the " Hub of the Highways" due to the intersection of major historic thoroughfares at the village's center (specifically present-day M-50 and U.S. Route 23). Dundee is a village in Yates County, New York, United States. The population was 1,725 at the 2010 census. The name was taken from Dundee, the city in Scotland with a population of 148,260. The Village of Dundee is in the Town of Starkey. The village is in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, halfway between Elmira and Geneva. Dundee Airport (D48) is located northeast of the village. History The community was known early by the name "Plainview". At first, the village did not thrive due to competition from another neighboring community, "Eddytown", but eventually prevailed over its rival. Around 1834, residents began to seek a new name for the village and, persuaded by a native of Scotland, named the village "Dundee". Yates County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 24,774, making it the third-least populous county in New York. The county seat is Penn Yan.
