Dundee HSFP
Dundee HSFP is a former rugby union team that played their home games at the Mayfield Playing Fields, Dundee, Scotland. The club disbanded in 2021. The team was founded in 1880 by former pupils of the High School of Dundee. The men's side played in ; the women's side, known as the Dundee Valkyries, played in the until 2021 when the club bought Morgan Rugby Club to form Dundee Rugby Club. Scottish Rugby Union
The Scottish Rugby Union (SRU; gd, Aonadh Rugbaidh na h-Alba) is the governing body of rugby union in Scotland. Styled as Scottish Rugby, it is the second oldest Rugby Union, having been founded in 1873. The SRU oversees the national league system, known as the Scottish League Championship, and the Scottish National teams. Scottish National League Division Two
The Scottish National League Division Two (known as Tennent's National League Division 2 for sponsorship reasons) is the third tier of the Scottish League Championship for amateur rugby union clubs in Scotland. The division was established in its current format in 2014 after the creation of three national leagues below the Premiership. This replaced the two Championship Leagues which were scrapped after just two seasons. Chris Rea (rugby Player)
Christopher William Wallace Rea (born 22 October 1943) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. He was capped 13 times for Scotland, scoring three tries, including the winning try in the 1971 Calcutta Cup. Rea toured New Zealand in 1971 with the British and Irish Lions, scoring three tries. At the time played club rugby for Headingley FC in Leeds having previously played for West of Scotland F.C. Rea became a sports journalist, working for the BBC amongst others, and became Head of Marketing at the MCC and then IRB Communications Manager in 2000. Andy Nicol
Andrew Douglas Nicol (born 12 March 1971), is a former Scotland international rugby union player. A scrum-half, Nicol won 23 caps for Scotland and had brief spells as a replacement on two British & Irish Lions tours. Rugby Union career Amateur career Nicol was born on 12 March 1971 in Dundee and educated at the High School of Dundee and Dundee Institute of Technology (now Abertay University). Richie Vernon
Richie Vernon (born 7 July 1987) is a former Scotland international rugby union player with London Scottish. He previously was with Glasgow Warriors, playing for the Glasgow side over two spells. He has also previously played for the now defunct Border Reivers and Sale Sharks. Rugby union career Amateur career Educated at the High School of Dundee, Vernon then played for Dundee HSFP. George Ritchie (rugby Union, Born 1909)
George Fraser Ritchie (1909–1993) was a Scottish rugby union player.Bath, p140 His regular playing position was Number 8. Rugby Union career Amateur career George Ritchie was educated at the High School of Dundee and Strathallan School in Perthshire. He played his club rugby for Dundee HSFP and was captain for three years between 1928 and 1931. Provincial career Ritchie played for Midlands District. International career Ritchie was capped once in 1932 for at number eight. He was named in the Scottish trial team of January 1930 but had to wait two years before gaining his cap. Jon Petrie
Jonathan Michael Petrie (born 19 October 1976) is a Scottish rugby union executive and former player. During his active career he played at flanker for Glasgow Warriors and Scotland. Petrie had two seasons in Scotland's under-21 team, making his debut against the Irish in 1997 while he was playing in France with Colomiers. John Manson
John Manson (born 22 June 1968) is a retired Scottish international rugby union footballer who played with the Caledonia Reds and Glasgow Warriors, two of Scotland's first professional rugby teams. Rugby Union career Amateur career Manson played for Hillfoots, Dundee HSFP, Stirling County, and West of Scotland FC at amateur level. Sean Lamont (born 15 January 1981) is a Scottish former international rugby union player and now Strength and Conditioning Coach. He played at centre and on the wing.
