Dunbar United Football Club is a Scottish football club from the town of Dunbar, East Lothian. The club operates on a semi-professional basis, playing in the . Dunbar United's home strip is black and white stripes their away colours are blue and white. History Football in Dunbar can be traced back to 1880, when Dunbar F.C. played Aberlady in a friendly match, and from then onwards a host of clubs were formed, including such names as Dunbar Bluebell, Dunbar Thistle, Dunbar Brittania, Dunbar Castle, Dunbar Star and Dunbar Comrades. Dunbar
Dunbar () is a town on the North Sea coast in East Lothian in the south-east of Scotland, approximately east of Edinburgh and from the English border north of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Dunbar is a former royal burgh, and gave its name to an ecclesiastical and civil parish. The parish extends around east to west and is deep at its greatest extent, or , and contains the villages of West Barns, Belhaven, and East Barns (abandoned) and several hamlets and farms. The town is served by Dunbar railway station with links to Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland, as well as London and stations along the north-east England corridor. Wayne Foster
Wayne Paul Foster (born 11 September 1963) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker in England and Scotland during the 1980s and 1990s. Career An English youth internationalist, Foster started his career at Bolton Wanderers, signing his first professional contract in August 1981. However, after over 100 appearances for the Wanderers he left for Preston North End in 1985 after losing his place at Burnden Park. He lasted less than a year at Deepdale before Alex MacDonald signed him for Heart of Midlothian on a free transfer. Foster spent seven seasons at Tynecastle. He was initially regarded to as a first team regular in his first two seasons but in a total of 65 starts he only amassed 14 goals. Joshua Walker (born 21 February 1989) is an English footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for Dunbar United. Walker started his career at Middlesbrough, progressing through the club's youth academy and was part of the club's FA Youth Cup winning team in 2004. He subsequently made his first-team debut for Middlesbrough in 2006, and made a handful of appearances during his four-year professional tenure at the club. During his time at Middlesbrough, Walker was loaned out on four occasions, playing for Football League clubs in the form of AFC Bournemouth, Northampton Town, and Rotherham United respectively, as well as Scottish Premier League club Aberdeen. Fraser McLaren (born 26 September 1988) is a Scottish footballer, who plays for club Dunbar United. He has previously played for Gretna, Ayr United, Montrose, Berwick Rangers, Peterhead and Bonnyrigg Rose. Career McLaren started his senior career with Gretna and made three appearances in the Scottish Premier League during the 2007–08 season. He also played on loan for Ayr United in 2007 and Montrose in 2008. He was released by Gretna in March 2008, after the club entered administration. McLaren then signed for Berwick Rangers.
