Nicolao Manuel Dumitru Cardoso (born 12 October 1991) is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin. Mainly a left winger, he can also play as a forward. Club career Early career Dumitru started his professional career at Empoli, in a match during the 2008–09 season in Serie B. Dumitru Berciu (27 January 1907, Bobaița, Mehedinți – 1 July 1998, Bucharest) was a Romanian historian and archaeologist, honorary member of the Romanian Academy. He conducted research in South-Eastern and Central Europe, focusing on Geto-Dacians, Thracians and Celts. Dumitru Berciu was governor of National Bank of Romania between 1934 and 1944 and the director of the Romanian Institute of Thracology in Bucharest after 1948. Later in his career, he also focused on the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods in the Balkans. He is known for his contribution to the development of absolute chronology of prehistoric settlements in the Balkans (Romania and Bulgaria). He was a modern Maecenas for the Romanian culture. Theodore "Ted" Dumitru (born Dumitru Teodorescu; 2 September 1939 – 26 May 2016) was a Romanian football manager who is best known for his time in South Africa. Dumitru was one of few coaches who have led South Africa's 'big three' clubs Kaizer Chiefs, Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. Dumitru was brought to South Africa by the owner of Kaizer Chiefs, Kaizer Motaung, in 1985, Dumitru went on to become the most successful coach in South African professional football. Dumitru Bâșcu (Romanian pronunciation: ; alternative spelling Dimitrie Bîșcu; 14 September 1902 – 18 November 1983) was a Romanian painter. He is known for his oil paintings of still life, landscapes and portraits as well as for mural paintings, mostly church restoration and fresco painting across Romania. Dumitru Bâșcu was born in the village of Cracalia, commune of Dumeni (later renamed George Enescu, Botoșani) in Dorohoi County at the time, today Botoșani County. Karr; October 26, 1877 – April 1949) was a Romanian poet, art critic and political journalist, one of the minor representatives of Symbolism. He was a disciple of both Alexandru Macedonski and Ștefan Petică, representing the conservative and mystical school of Romanian Symbolism, and a regular contributor to the newspaper ''Seara''. He is also remembered as the husband and, for a while, literary partner of novelist Lucrezzia Karnabatt. Karnabatt had a controversial career, particularly so during World War I. Dumitru Carlaonț (28 October 1888 – 2 July 1970) was a Romanian major-general during World War II, who is known for being imprisoned and acquitted for war crimes three times. He was the younger brother of General Ioan Carlaonț. Born in Slivilești, Miculești, Gorj County. Dumitru Cornilescu (4 April 1891 – 1975) was a Romanian archdeacon who produced a popular translation of the Bible into Romanian language, Romanian, published in 1921. Although referred to as "Father Cornilescu", he was never ordained as a Romanian Orthodox priest. After his conversion, he served as a Protestant minister. Cornilescu's translation is the most popular version of the Bible among Romanian Protestants. Early life Cornilescu was born in Pădina Mare, Slașoma, Mehedinți County, the son of a teacher. Both his grandfathers were Orthodox priests. He studied at the Central Seminary from 1904, quickly becoming noted for his scholarly diligence.
