He directed 88 films in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Life Ceder was born on February 2, 1897 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Eugene Martin Ceder (1865–1924) and Petrea Christina (Jensen) Ceder (1869–1946), immigrants from Sweden and Denmark. He married several times: to Molly Moore or Horowitz in 1918, to Elizabeth Mceacharn in 1926, and to Jacquetta Calvin in 1931. He died on November 29, 1951 at Rose Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Ceder started making films in 1917, and he worked with Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures. RKO Radio Pictures Inc., commonly known as RKO Pictures or simply RKO, was an American film production and distribution company, one of the "Big Five" film studios of Hollywood's Golden Age. Benny Rubin
Benny Rubin (February 2, 1899 – July 15, 1986) was an American comedian and film actor. Born in Boston, Rubin made more than 200 radio, film and television appearances over a span of 50 years. Career In 1929, Rubin went to Hollywood, where he began working as a supporting actor in films and began developing his ethnic characters. His film debut was in ''Naughty Baby''. Rubin was known for his ability to imitate many dialects. He performed in vaudeville with routines that included "English That's Different". Rubin demonstrated his dialect talents as a panelist on the joke-telling radio series, '' Stop Me If You've Heard This One''. He also provided the voice for Joe Jitsu throughout the television cartoon series, ''The Dick Tracy Show''. Heinie Conklin (born Charles John Conklin; July 16, 1880July 30, 1959) was an American actor and comedian whose career began in the silent film era. Early years Conklin was born Charles John Conklin on July 16, 1880, in San Francisco, California. He attended San Francisco's public schools. Career In vaudeville, Conklin headlined shows on the Keith and Orpheum circuits. He was billed as Charles Conklin until 1927. He began working in films in 1915 after 17 years on stage and in vaudeville. One of the original Keystone Kops, Conklin wore makeup of heavy eyebrow lining and a thin, upside-down, painted-on variation of Kaiser Wilhelm's mustache. William Gerald Franey (June 23, 1889 – December 6, 1940) was an American film actor. Born in Chicago in 1889, Franey appeared in more than 400 films between 1914 and 1941, mostly playing comedic roles. He was an actor of disheveled appearance and fuzzy mustache, usually in a suit a couple of sizes too big. His late career included numerous uncredited appearances in classics like ''Bringing Up Baby'', and he also appeared as the father-in-law of Edgar Kennedy in several of his series of short comedies.
