Dumas (singer)
Dumas (born Steve Dumas) is a Canadian musician a from Victoriaville, Quebec. Career Dumas released his first album ''Dumas'' in 2001, when he was 21. His second album, ''Le cours des jours'', made him more well-known. The album includes contributions from Marie-Annick Lépine from the group Les Cowboys Fringants on two songs. In 2004, Carl Bastien and Dumas released the soundtrack to the film ''Les Aimants'' by Yves P. Pelletier. Dumas' 2012 album ''L'heure et l'endroit'' debuted at number 11 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Dumas has also produced and written music for other artists, as well as composing music for films. He wrote the theme song for ''Ça sent la coupe'' and '' Love and Magnets'', for which he won an IRIS and a Felix Award. Additionally, he has contributed vocals to several commercials and TV shows, while also collaborating in some of them as a columnist. Victoriaville
Victoriaville is a town in central Quebec, Canada, on the Nicolet River. Victoriaville is the seat of Arthabaska Regional County Municipality and a part of the Centre-du-Québec (Bois-Francs) region. It is formed by the 1993 merger of Arthabaska, Saint-Victoire-d'Arthabaska and Victoriaville, the name of the last being used for the merged town. Description Victoriaville's size and location have earned it the title ''Capitale des Bois-Francs'', referring to the Bois-Francs region of the province. Les Cowboys Fringants
Les Cowboys Fringants are a Quebec folk rock music group formed in 1995 in Repentigny, Quebec. The French word ''fringant'' can be translated as "dashing", or "frisky". They perform '' Québécois'' néo-trad music (modernized Quebec folk music with a rock flavour) and draw on country music. They have an international underground following, especially in France, French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland. Band members hail from the Montreal suburbs of Repentigny and L'Assomption. The entire band collaborates on the lyrics, although guitarist Jean-François Pauzé often contributes more than the others. The band are known for their live performances, captured on the ''Attache ta tuque!'' live album and the ''Centre Bell 30 décembre 2003'' DVD. ''Love and Magnets'' (french: Les Aimants) is a Canadian romantic comedy film, directed by Yves P. Pelletier and released in 2004.
