Al Duerr
Alfred Herman "Al" Duerr (born January 29, 1951) is a Canadian former Canadian politician who served as the 34th Mayor of Calgary, Alberta from 1989 to 2001, and a city alderman from 1983 to 1989. Education Duerr attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in Urban Geography and Regional Urban Development and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. Political career Duerr was first elected as an Alderman for Ward 9 on Calgary City Council in 1983, and was re-elected in 1986. Incumbent Mayor Ralph Klein would resign in the months before the 1989 municipal election to purse provincial office, and Al Duerr would contest and win the Mayor's seat in the 1989 election. Duerr would go on to be re-elected as Mayor three more times in 1992, 1995, and 1998 before deciding not to contest the 2001, which was won by former Alderman Dave Bronconnier. Crescentius Richard Duerr
Brother Crescentius Richard, F.S.C., was an American De La Salle Brother who was instrumental in the transformation of De La Salle University in the Philippines into a pillar of Philippine education.De La Salle University-Manila. Edwin Duerr
Edwin Duerr (February 21, 1904 – August 13, 1985) was a theater and radio director. He was director of the Little Theater at University of California, Berkeley when he discovered Gregory Peck. He wrote the books ''The Length and Depth of Acting'' and ''Radio and Television Acting: Criticism, Theory and Practice''. According to author Sean Egan in the James Kirkwood biography ''Ponies & Rainbows'', Duerr co-wrote a play with Kirkwood called ''The Marriage Habit'' which failed to get staged. Duerr served on the faculty of California State University, Fullerton as a Professor of Theater from September 1964 until June 1974, when he was granted emeritus status. Justin Duerr (born 1976, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American artist, musician, and writer. A fixture of both the underground punk rock and outsider art scenes in Philadelphia for decades, Duerr is best known for his research into the Toynbee tile phenomenon as depicted in the 2011 documentary film '' Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles''.
