''Dublin Blues'' is an album by the American singer-songwriter Guy Clark, released in 1995. Clark promoted the album by touring with son, Travis, as his bass player. It has recently been remastered (2023) and an extra track has been discovered. It will hopefully be released soon. Production Rodney Crowell cowrote "Stuff That Works". Nanci Griffith and Emmylou Harris contributed harmony vocals. Critical reception ''Entertainment Weekly'' praised the "tongue-and-groove meditations on life and love." Guy Clark
Guy Charles Clark (November 6, 1941 – May 17, 2016) was an American folk and country singer-songwriter and luthier. He released more than 20 albums, and his songs have been recorded by other artists, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffett, Kathy Mattea, Lyle Lovett, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton. He won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Folk Album: ''My Favorite Picture of You''. Career Clark was born in Monahans, Texas. His family moved to Rockport, Texas in 1954. After he graduated from high school in 1960, Guy spent almost a decade living in Houston as part of the folk music revival in that city. Mipso
Mipso is a North Carolina quartet formed in Chapel Hill and known for combining a traditional string band format with close harmony and a variety of modern influences. The band is made up of Wood Robinson (Bass, Vocals), Jacob Sharp (Mandolin, Vocals), Joseph Terrell (Guitar, Vocals) and Libby Rodenbough (Fiddle, Vocals). Christopher Ender Carrabba (born April 10, 1975) is the lead singer and guitarist of the band Dashboard Confessional, lead singer of the band Further Seems Forever, and is the vocalist for the folk band Twin Forks. Jonathan Yudkin is an American multi-instrumentalist who is a proficient player of banjo, violin, mandolin, and other stringed instruments. He is a Nashville-based session musician, record producer, arranger, and band leader. Biography Growing up in Philadelphia, Yudkin's father led a synagogue choir, and his mother was the featured soloist. Yudkin studied violin privately for many years, but—inspired by the example of David Bromberg—he was drawn to playing country music. James Darrell Scott, known as Darrell Scott (born August 6, 1959), is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The son of musician Wayne Scott, he moved as a child to East Gary, Indiana (known today as Lake Station, Indiana). He was playing professionally by his teens in Southern California. Later, Darrell moved to Toronto then Boston. He attended Tufts University, where he studied poetry and literature. He has lived in Nashville, Tennessee since about 1995. Suzanne "Suzi" Ragsdale is an American singer and songwriter. Besides her solo recordings, Ragsdale is known for her collaborations with Verlon Thompson and Darrell Scott. Biography Early years Ragsdale grew up in Nashville, the daughter of country/pop singer Ray Stevens (whose legal last name is Ragsdale). At age 10, she was singing on children's albums, and at age 11, she was singing on publishing demos for songwriters. Ramblin' Jack Elliott (born Elliot Charles Adnopoz; August 1, 1931) is an American folk singer and songwriter. Life and career Elliott was born in 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, United States, the son of Florence (Rieger) and Abraham Adnopoz, an eminent doctor. His family was Jewish. He attended Midwood High School in Brooklyn and graduated in 1949. Elliott grew up inspired by the rodeos at Madison Square Garden, and wanted to be a cowboy. Encouraged instead to follow his father's example and become a surgeon, Elliott rebelled, running away from home at the age of 15 to join Col.
